Dear friends,

I've decided to open this page since I was nominated for the position of a judge of the European Court of Human Rights. Recent Ukrainian elections of candidates for this post and subsequent media discussions showed a necessity to introduce myself to a wide audience - those whom I didn't have a chance to meet on my professional way.

I hope an article from the “Advocate” legal magazine  and other materials here will give you a better idea of my activities.
Furthermore, having heard different comments on these elections and their participants, I would like to share with you  my opinion in this respect.

I've also used this opportunity to make a page “Human Rights practice – procedural documents” (in Ukrainian only) which, I hope, will be helpful for young lawyers.

I placed here my procedural documents and defence speeches for diversity of cases which I dealt with at different times. Not insisting on their universalism and perfection, I nevertheless set them just as an example which can be used in legal work.

My articles here (also in Ukrainian but some of them will be translated into English soon) mostly concern issues of my scientific research on guarantees for accused in criminal proceedings.

All views expressed here are personal and do not necessarily reflect the official position of the European Court of Human Right.

I would like to thank my colleagues for their warm greetings which are also on this page.

Those who want to reach me can always write to anna.yudkivska@mail.ru.

Thank you very much for your interest!

Very truly yours,
